Who is Will Wright?
Will Wright is a 17-year-old English striker from Preston, currently with Salford City’s U18 team and occasionally featuring for the senior side in EFL League Two. Standing at 1.90m, he plays as a centre-forward and has attracted significant attention from Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester City, and Burnley, due to his prolific scoring record—over 50 goals across all levels for Salford last season.
Wright made his senior debut in January 2025 during an FA Cup match against Manchester City (an 8-0 loss) and has since appeared in League Two matches against Port Vale and Bradford City, totaling four senior appearances. His pre-season form, including a brace against FC United of Manchester, has intensified interest, with Liverpool reportedly leading the race to sign him for a six-figure fee.
