Four Chelsea Youth Stars Shine On The International Stage
Shim Mheuka has scored for England at every level

Over this international break, it was evident that with the amount of Cobham presence on the youth teams, someone was going to explode. Or in this case, four of them did. The four players combined contributed to ten goals over the last week and a bit. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, Chizzy Ezenwata, Shim Mheuka and Jesse Derry are the four talents. Hot topics around Chelsea at the moment. England are lucky to have these four.

PLAYER 1: RYAN KAVUMA-MCQUEEN - U17

Ryan shone at St George's Park

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen. A name that everyone knows by now. Chelsea's baller is the England U17 talisman this season. For example, Ryan scored four against Germany U17s in a 7-5 thriller at the start of the season. He's been playing U21 football this season for Chelsea.

This week England U17s faced Faroe Islands, Israel and Estonia. England would defeat Faroe Islands 3-0 at St George's Park, Ryan bagged a brace. RKM also has a trademark finish. Where he runs down the wing, cuts in and wraps his effort into the far corner. However, in the next game, England were defeated 3-1 by Israel at SGP, but it didn't stop RKM from scoring. RKM was on the bench in the final game in a 2-0 win over Estonia. Despite England finishing second in the group and missing out on League A promotion, RKM still got his name about.

PLAYER 2: CHIZZY EZENWATA - U18

Three goals for Chizzy in Croatia!

Chizzy Ezenwata is a striker who is amazing at finding the net. Scores goals all of the time. Chizzy has been in between the U18s and U21s for Chelsea this season. Chizzy scored against Blackburn Rovers U21s at Kingsmeadow, while scoring against Brighton and Reading for the U18s.

Chizzy scored a hat trick at the U17 World Cup in an 8-1 win against Haiti. England U18s began their U19 Euro qualifications in Round 1 where they would go on to retain their League A place. England faced Bulgaria first at Sportski Park where Chizzy scored two in a 4-1 victory which saw Reigan Heskey and Lorenz Hutchinson add to Chizzy's goals. Unfortunately, in game 2, England faced Spain at the same destination. Spain won 3-1, however, Chizzy converted a penalty just before half time. In the third and final game to retain a League A place, England beat Croatia 2-0, Chizzy started but didn't score. A great international break for the striker overall.

PLAYER 3: SHIM MHEUKA - U19

Big Game Player.

Shim Mheuka has been scoring for England at many age groups. Firing us to European Competitions. One of the most prolific goal scorers I've seen at this level. In the last U19 Euro qualification stage Shim scored 4 goals in 3 games. Shim is the top scorer in the PL2 this season. Shim this week became the all time top scorer for England U19s. He's bagged 15 goals, with 95 minutes per goal and 0.68 goals per match rate. England U19s faced Serbia first game and suffered a 2-0 defeat. This is where Shim comes in. England played Poland and an 85th minute strike from Mheuka gave England hope of Euro qualification. A 1-0 win handed England hope. England U19s faced Portugal next up in Braga. England won 6-0 and Shim scored again, but this win wasn't enough still. A shame but a strong showing from Shim!

PLAYER 4: JESSE DERRY - U19

The Main Man

Jesse Derry. El Mago. A lad who has been providing for England on the international stage for a while now. A vibrant player who is the next generation of winger in England. The Number 7, the playmaker.

Jesse has been everywhere this season, UEFA Youth League, PL2, FA Cup with the men's team. In the last round of U19 qualifying, Jesse scored a hat trick against Latvia and got an assist against Scotland. England U19s faced Serbia and Poland where Jesse played, influenced but didn't score. But it was Portugal where things would change. Jesse bagged a brace against Portugal in a 6-0 win. He scored the opener and the third goal which ensured an England win. Jesse has been exceptional this season for club and country. Jesse is the future.
