Gerard Martín has been registered in LaLiga and will be available to enter the squad for Barcelona's game against Rayo Vallecano this weekend. The left-back could not be in the first two league games against Mallorca and Levante, but the loan of Iñaki Peña to Elche has freed up enough space in the wage bill to be able to register him.
Barça were already counting on Gerard Martín in the duel against Levante, but finally his registration in LaLiga has arrived at the gates of the match in Vallecas.
Martin Done, Szczesny and Bardghji Up Next
With the Gerard Martín case resolved, Barça have yet to register Wojciech Szczesny and Roony Bardghji as first-team players. Both are waiting for the termination of the last year of Oriol Romeu's contract and the departure of Héctor Fort, who could join Mallorca on loan.
After the loan of Iñaki Peña to Elche, Barça only have Joan Garcia available as a goalkeeper for the first team and the Pole will be registered to accompany the Sallent goalkeeper. Szczesny renewed his contract with Barça for the next two seasons, until 2027, after his good performance as an emergency replacement for Ter Stegen.
Finally, it will be the turn of Roony Bardghji. Barça could have registered the Swedish winger as a reserve team player, but the club preferred to wait to process his license as a first-team player to avoid any kind of conflict with LaLiga.
Barça are also prepared with the alternative of the endorsement to register Szczesny and Roony Bardghji, so it is expected that both can be available to Hansi Flick to play the third matchday of LaLiga against Rayo Vallecano.
