FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has expressed strong admiration for Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund’s 29-year-old centre-forward. According to German outlet Bild, Flick is closely monitoring the Guinean attacker’s progress ahead of the 2025-26 season.

A Price Tag Too Heavy for Barça
Despite the interest, Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set an asking price of around €100 million for Guirassy. Given Barça’s current financial limitations, such a high-cost transfer appears unlikely at this stage.
A Painful Reminder in the Champions League
Flick knows Guirassy’s quality all too well. In the 2024-25 Champions League quarter-final second leg, the striker scored a hat-trick in Dortmund’s 3-1 home win. However, Barça’s dominant 4-0 victory in the first leg rendered Dortmund’s triumph meaningless.
Lewandowski’s Future Adds to the Debate
The reported interest in Guirassy comes at a time of uncertainty around Robert Lewandowski’s future. The Polish striker is under contract until June 30, 2026, after triggering an automatic extension by playing over 55% of official matches last season.
