Southampton defender Jan Bednarek is set to join FC Porto, with journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming that the two clubs have reached a full agreement over the transfer.
The Polish international will make the move for a reported fee of €7.5 million (£6.5m) and is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Portuguese giants.

Southampton Make Profit on Bednarek
The deal marks a modest profit for Southampton, who originally signed Bednarek from Lech Poznan back in 2017 for around £5 million.
He was left out of the club’s recent pre-season tour of Spain by new manager Will Still, fueling speculation that a transfer was imminent.
Key Figure for Southampton
During his time at St Mary’s, Bednarek made 254 appearances, scoring 11 goals and assisting six times across all competitions. He played a big role in Southampton's Premier League campaign last season, featuring in 30 matches and logging the fifth-most minutes in the squad.
Another Big Exit for the Saints
Bednarek becomes Southampton’s third major sale this month, following the departures of Kamaldeen Sulemana and Paul Onuachu, whose transfers brought in a combined £24.5 million.
With his move to Porto now in the final stages, Bednarek will look to begin a new chapter in his career at one of Europe’s most successful clubs.
