LUCAS PERRI - GK
A really positive performance for Perri. A clean sheet on your debut, you can't ask for more than that. Despite a low, tense scoreline, Perri didn't have all that much to do to be fair. Perri was called into action early on after a dodgy back pass from Joe Rodon and Perri was not expecting it. Perri's big moment came later on as Everton's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall spun Brenden Aaronson down the right wing and laid it off to Alcaraz who shot at Perri's front post however he parried wide, keeping Leeds in it. After that, Perri was involved yet again as Everton began to go all out attacking. More dangerous crosses from Everton's danger men would come in, however Perri was on hand to claim them over Everton's Beto and Tarkowski and keep Leeds going. Overall, He did what was needed a good PL debut in Leeds colours and a clean sheet.
JAYDEN BOGLE - RB
With Bogle putting in some excellent performances in Pre season, he was the obvious choice as RB. He was a very popular defender choice in FPL this year too. Bogle did his job very well, keeping Iliman Ndiaye quiet who could've caused havoc without Bogle. Bogle's attacking minded nature was good to see as he partnered Dan James on the right side and these two would give Garner multiple issues down the line. Jayden covered 10.6km of the pitch and was up and down being at the defender's aid also. Overall, a good solid performance from Bogle, after doing his job well.
Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk - CB
A superb performance from these two on Monday. The CB pairing had the task of stopping Everton's striker Beto, who has proven to be a handful for many defences. They pushed Beto around, not giving him any time to get the ball down and play and they were also beating him in aerial duels also as Beto is good at flick-ons. Plenty of clearances, headers won and passes played out from the back. They were quite often playing into the midfield channels into Ao Tanaka, Anton Stach and most commonly Ethan Ampadu who held it all together. Struijk and Rodon were very good off corners also, not letting Tarkowski and Keane head the ball in the Leeds box. Absolutely outstanding from the pair of them. Struijk had a 98.6% passing accuracy out from the back too.
GABRIEL GUDMUNDSSON - LB
Gudmundsson could've easily won MOTM on Monday night. Gabriel achieved one of the quickest paces in the match at 29.8km/h. A quality performance from him. He just had a perfect mixture of everything. Defending and attacking. Similar to Bogle, Gabriel had the challenge of defending a quality player, Charly Alcaraz. Gabriel didn't give him too much room and stopped Alcaraz from running the game. Gabriel was getting fired in to tackles and worked well down the left with Wilfried Gnonto with passing sequences forming that would bring Leeds forward. He's proven that he is an excellent Junior Firpo replacement. Great first impression showing positive signs going forward and putting crosses in. Good Performance.
ETHAN AMPADU - HOLDING
Ampadu was my MOTM on Monday. Words can't describe that performance. On Monday, Everton's most dangerous midfielder Dewsbury-Hall was going to be running at Ampadu and after a run in between the pair in the 23/24 Championship season, things were going to be intense. He won 4/5 midfield duels and had 81% passing accuracy and put on a real captain performance and covered 8.8km. Ampadu got revenge on KDH as he slid in and took Dewsbury-Hall out. Absolutely dominated the midfield all night long. Carried on whilst injured and I feel like Ethan knows what It's like to be Leeds and understands the privilege of being captain. Unreal.
ANTON STACH AND AO TANAKA - CM
Another two players who could've won MOTM. The Everton defence stood no chance with these two in our midfield. A crazy amount of ground covered on the night. Neither were afraid of the opposition midfield and were winning the ball very high. Using relentless press on Idrissa Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam and gaining possession high. Calm in possession and were taking the ball off our defence well and playing forward. Stach and Tanaka were getting forward well and were getting shots off and driving forward into pockets of space. Both contributed to our great structure in possession of the ball. Stach was also swinging in some crosses off corners and the pair showed how physically up for it we were. Class from the pair of them. With Anton Stach winning our penalty which would be decisive in the end.

DAN JAMES - RW
Not one of Dan's greatest performances as many will agree. However, James still played his part and put in a decent performance. James gave Garner hell, causing trouble for all of the first half. Garner simply couldn't handle the pace and energy James was bringing. Most of the time he had Garner on strings. Linked up well with Bogle and was putting crosses in the box that was applying pressure on the Everton defence. Not his greatest, but certainly decent. James was the quickest player in the match clocking a speed of 31.5km/h.
WILFRIED GNONTO - LW
I thought Gnonto looked very sharp on Monday. He had O'Brien on the ropes in the first half. Was linking up well with Gudmundsson and was beating his man and putting a cross in, which is exactly what we need from him. He was getting a few shots off in the game with one narrowly going over the bar. So on the whole, Gnonto was good. I was pleased with what I saw from him.
JOEL PIROE - ST
Similar to Dan James, it wasn't Piroe's greatest performance but still did his bit until Nmecha came on. The thing I really liked about Piroe's performance was his eager attacking nature. Getting shots off and being positive as opposed to laying it off to a winger. Goals will certainly come with Piroe and we have to take into consideration that it's his first ever PL game. Looked good from what I saw, he certainly posed a threat to the Everton defence. Positive Stuff.

And that's all! After a positive showing, let's see how Leeds fare from now on. Up The Whites!
