Palace Consider Signing Girona Talent

Crystal Palace are reportedly monitoring Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov as they explore wide attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The Ukrainian international has emerged as one of La Liga's most technically gifted wingers over the past two seasons, attracting growing interest from clubs across Europe, including several from the Premier League.

Since Joining Girona

Tsygankov, 27, joined Girona in January 2023 from Dynamo Kyiv and quickly made a name for himself in Spain. In his first full season, he scored eight goals and provided several assists, helping Girona secure a top-four finish and Champions League qualification. Although his output dipped slightly in 2024/25, with just two goals and five assists, his quality on the ball and ability to impact matches in wide areas remains unquestioned.

Tsygankov's Valuation

Girona value Tsygankov at around €22 million and are understood to be open to a sale if a suitable offer arrives. His current contract runs until 2027 and includes a €30 million release clause. Girona, aware of increasing interest in the player, may seek to either cash in this summer or negotiate an improved contract with a higher buyout clause.

Competition from Other Clubs

While Sunderland, Fulham, West Ham, and Bournemouth have all been more prominently linked with the winger, Crystal Palace are believed to be keeping tabs on the situation. With Michael Olise having departed to Bayern Munich and uncertainty surrounding other key attackers, Palace could look to reinvest funds in a dynamic winger capable of creating and scoring goals from wide areas. Tsygankov’s creativity, combined with his ability to beat defenders and deliver quality crosses, fits the profile Palace’s recruitment team are seeking.

For now, West Ham and Fulham remain the most active in pursuing the Ukrainian, but if Palace decide to move decisively, they could find themselves in direct competition. With Girona reportedly unwilling to negotiate below the €22 million mark, the race for Tsygankov could heat up in the coming weeks.

Whether Crystal Palace formalize their interest with a bid remains to be seen, but Tsygankov is certainly a name to watch as the Eagles look to strengthen ahead of a demanding season.
