Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman, bringing to an end nearly 25 years of leadership at the club. During his time in charge, Spurs were transformed into one of the most recognised clubs in world football. Under Levy, the team played in European competitions in 18 of the last 20 seasons, invested heavily in its academy and players, and built a world-class stadium and training centre. The club also enjoyed some memorable moments on the pitch, including its recent Europa League triumph.

Structural Change
In preparation for this transition, Spurs have already made several key appointments. Vinai Venkatesham joined as Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Frank has taken over as men’s head coach, and Martin Ho has been appointed women’s head coach. Peter Charrington, who recently joined the board, will now step in as the club’s first Non-Executive Chairman. Reflecting on his time, Levy said: “I am incredibly proud of the work I have done with the executive team and all our employees. We’ve built this club into a global name and, more importantly, a community. I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing people, and I want to thank the fans for their support over the years. It hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve made huge progress. I’ll always remain a passionate supporter of this club.” Peter Charrington added: “I am honoured to become Non-Executive Chairman of this extraordinary club. On behalf of the Board, I thank Daniel and his family for their loyalty and commitment over so many years. We know there has been a lot of change recently, but our focus is on stability and building for the future, led by Vinai and his team.” The club confirmed that there are no changes to its ownership or shareholder structure.
