Vinicius Wants to Earn Like Mbappé
Vinicius currently earns €15 million net per season, with his contract running until June 30, 2027. However, the Brazilian is now demanding parity with Real Madrid’s new superstar, Kylian Mbappé, whose total earnings amount to €23 million net per season when including a signing bonus of €40 million over five years.
A Season of Decline for Vinicius
In the 2024–25 season, Vinicius scored 22 goals in 58 appearances:11 in LaLiga,8 in the Champions League, across the Club World Cup, Copa del Rey, and Intercontinental Cup. His numbers pale in comparison to Mbappé’s 44-goal debut season, where the Frenchman won the European Golden Boot and scored in all major competitions.
Madrid Not Entertaining Pay Raise Talks-Yet
Real Madrid’s bosses, including president Florentino Pérez and general manager José Ángel Sánchez, are not considering such a wage hike. Matching Mbappé’s package would mean raising Vinicius’s pay by over 50%, something the club sees as unjustified, especially given his recent dip in form.
While the board once viewed Vinicius as untouchable, they are now open to listening to offers, acknowledging that no club will ever activate his €1B clause, but a strong bid could trigger serious discussions.
