Northern Ireland FC

The Northern Ireland national football team, managed by the Irish Football Association (IFA) and established in 1880, represents the country in international football. Originally part of a single Irish team, it became a separate entity following the partition of Ireland in 1921, though the IFA continued to pick players from all of Ireland until 1950. They are nicknamed the "Green and White Army" and famously reached the World Cup quarter-finals in 1958 and qualified for Euro 2016.
