Sheffield United are pressing ahead with their summer rebuild under new manager Rubén Sellés as best as they can, with the club reportedly expressing interest in three creative attacking players: Grady Diangana, Tyrhys Dolan, and Ianis Hagi.
Each player brings a different skill set and pedigree to the table, and while nothing has yet been confirmed, the links suggest a shift in recruitment strategy—focusing on flair, mobility, and end product in the final third.

Grady Diangana - Forward
One of the more eye-catching names on the list is 26-year-old winger Grady Diangana, who is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract at West Brom. Once seen as one of the Championship’s brightest wide players, Diangana’s career has been mixed in recent seasons, but he remains a player of high technical ability and creativity.
Last season, Diangana made 27 appearances for West Brom in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and assisting 2 more. Though not as prolific as in previous campaigns, he often operated in a deeper or more tactical role under Carlos Corberán. His best season came in 2019–20, when he registered 8 goals and 6 assists in the Championship, prompting West Brom to make his loan from West Ham permanent.

Tyrhys Dolan – Forward
At 23, Tyrhys Dolan is another free agent option, having recently left Blackburn Rovers following the expiry of his contract. A versatile attacker who can operate on either wing or in more central areas, Dolan has already amassed over 200 appearances for Rovers despite his age.
In the 2024–25 campaign, Dolan scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists in the Championship, highlighting his ability to contribute consistently in the final third. Known for his high energy, quick feet, and creativity in tight spaces, Dolan has long been seen as a player with untapped potential.

Ianis Hagi – Midfielder
The third name linked with a move to Bramall Lane is Ianis Hagi, the Romanian international and son of legendary playmaker Gheorghe Hagi. He spent part of last season on loan at Alavés in Spain but has struggled to re-establish himself as a regular starter in Glasgow.
Though a less concrete link than the other two, reports from Romanian and Scottish media have suggested that Hagi is open to a move, with English clubs monitoring his situation. Hagi is capable of playing as a number 10 or wide forward and is known for his passing range, set-piece quality, and vision in the final third.
