Sweden and Newcastle United striker, Alexander Isak, has been linked with a move to English Premier League Champions, Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has only been outscored by Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah since he moved to the English Premier League in 2022.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward is currently worth €120m as per Transfermarkt, and is keen on exiting the St. James Park this summer.

Has Isak left it a little too late to force a move?
Without a doubt, Isak is the second-best striker in the English Premier League, only behind Erling Haaland, and pretty much walks into almost every top side in Europe.
His ability isn't in question, but his timing of forcing a move might be a little off. Isak will not be joining his Newcastle teammates on their pre-season tour of Asia, with the club citing a minor thigh injury as the reason for his absence—a scenario we've seen many times when players have attempted to leave a club. However, this might not be the case.
Going into this summer's transfer window, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea were vocal about their needs for strikers.

Arsenal have more or less secured the services of Viktor Gyokeres, while Chelsea have signed the duo of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, and are now preparing to ship Nicolas Jackson out.
Liverpool have also signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, and are now looking to let Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz off their books before venturing into the transfer market for any more expenditure.
🚨 Once again: Alexander Isak wants Liverpool, it’s his priority as reported.

Still, Isak maintains he wants a move to Anfield and nowhere else. As it stands, Manchester United cannot afford the ex-Real Sociedad forward.
In the meantime, Liverpool are stacked in attack and will be competing on all fronts next season.

Where will Isak fit in at Liverpool?
Liverpool have signed Giorgi Mamardashvili, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitike this summer, all bringing technical quality and tactical versatility.
In total, these five players have removed a whopping €308.68m from the club's purse. Bringing Isak in will mostly take that figure to around €450m.
Tactically, it isn't expected that Arne Slot will drift away from the traditional 4-3-3 he played with last season. Wirtz makes it tricky, though.
At Leverkusen, he played in the number 10 role, free to roam between midfield and attack whilst creating chances for the front two of Victor Boniface and Patrick Schick.
With Liverpool, it'll be slightly different, as he'll have three attackers in front of him. Undoubtedly, Mohammed Salah hugs the right side while Cody Gakpo takes on the left flank.

Up front will be the battle between Ekitike and Isak, should the Swedish man move to Merseyside.
Isak is more direct, offers more goalscoring threat and is a better header of the ball, while Ekitike is like a Roberto Firmino rebrand.
The Frenchman can play secondary roles on the left and on the right, filling the half spaces whilst allowing the wingers to flourish, like Firmino did with Salah and Mane.
Still, it is very unlikely that Ekitike would seal a €95m deal from Frankfurt just to be a squad player, and it'll be interesting to see how all of this shapes up in the coming weeks.
