Same old for Everton, great start, whopper goal from the genius that is Ndiaye and then the routine open goal clanger from B or B, this time Barry. The disappointment and despair on the pitch was palpable and the Mackems took complete advantage. They sensed they needed to improve, but encouraged by the Everton team capitulation of morale, they went on the attack.
Second half Everton weren’t at the races, bar Beto who was at the donkey derby again. First touch like that of a docker, and the balance of a penguin on a black run! Sunderland on the other hand were dominant and well led by their Man of the Match and goal scorer Xhaka. The goal was well deserved although Everton fans will bemoan the massive deflection off the hapless Tarky who was blocking Pickford's view and sent the ball beyond his blind reach.
Jordan Pickford reacts to last night's game and talks about his pride at representing both Everton and Sunderland, as well as the support both clubs have given @bradleysfight. 💙

Ultimately Everton clung on for the point which was barely deserved but hugely important. What next for the Toffees, same plan one expects for the Fulham game this Saturday. Everyone feels sorry for B & B, especially Barry as he is young and needs the boost that a couple of goals will bring him. Moyes has no choice but to stick with him and keep the encouragement up and the pressure off. Sadly the pressure is all self inflicted and this was written all over his face and the faces of his team mates, after his shotgun fired wildly over the gaping barn door.

Ndiaye is the shining light - the only player to score more than once this season. He could even be gone in January if some muppets come in with crazy big money. Who knows!
The changes of speed from Ndiaye here, defenders didn’t know what hit them.

Ran straight at Ballard to pin him, then cut inside with great balance to ride the challenges while always protecting the ball with his feet.
The shot was the icing on the cake.

Everton could be in another dog fight if these goals don’t come soon. Big game Saturday - come on Bazza and Betty, UTFT 💙
