Chelsea and Manchester City are both competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, and their potential routes to the final depend on their performances in the group stage and subsequent knockout rounds.
Using FIFA.com, we have calculated Chelsea and Manchester City's routes to the CWC Final.
Chelsea's Route:
After suffering a shock loss to Flamengo and beating ES Tunis in there last game of the group stage, Chelsea secured second place in Group D.
With this Chelsea's route to the Final is officially confirmed, as they will face Benfica in the Round of 16, and then Palmeiras or Batafogo in the quarter-final.
In the semi-final, Chelsea will most likely face either Inter Milan or Manchester City.
Man City's Route:
With Manchester City's victory over Juventus in their final group stage game, they topped the group winning all three games and are now on Chelsea's side of the draw.
In the Round of 16, it's confirmed that City will face Al Hilal on Monday and then Inter Milan or Fluminense.
In the Semi-Final, Man City will most likely face Chelsea or either Palmeiras/Botfogo.
The Full Draw
Both English clubs have managed to find themselves in the "easier" side of the draw, but as we already know, there is no easy game in the FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea and Man City should really expect themselves to get to at least the semi-finals with the way the draw is.
