Fulham Focusing on Continuity

The summer transfer window has been open for more than a month now, but Fulham has yet to bring anyone in from outside the club. The team's sole focus thus far has been on retaining its own talent.

Valuable Veterans Tete, Cairney Retained

Soon after the transfer window opened, it looked like right-back Kenny Tete might be lost to an offer from Everton. In the end, Fulham boss Marco Silva and company were able to lure the 29-year-old Dutchman back to Craven Cottage with a new three-year deal.

The club also recently agreed to a one-year deal with longtime captain Tom Cairney, which will bring the midfielder back for his 11th season with the team.

Young Talents King, Ridgeon Sticking Around

Last week, Fulham announced an extension with 18-year-old midfielder Josh King. The Fulham academy graduate made his first team debut last season and wound up with 11 appearances, eight of those in the Premier League. The new deal will keep King with the club until the summer of 2029.

According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, Fulham is close to a new contract with 16-year-old Seth Ridgeon. The midfielder has already played two seasons with the club's Under-18 squad and made four appearances this past year with the U21 team. He is currently the captain of England's U17 squad and is reportedly being targeted by Manchester City and Liverpool.

Wilson, Muniz, Nelson Still in Limbo

Reports this summer have connected Leeds as a possible transfer suitor for striker Rodrigo Muniz. The 24-year-old Brazilian has posted double-digit goal numbers each of the past two seasons for Marco Silva's squad. With the aging Raùl Jimènez as the only other striker on the roster, losing Muniz would be a significant blow.

Harry Wilson is another goal scorer whose name has recently come up as a potential transfer target. Reports from Turkey have suggested that Süper Lig powerhouse, Bestikas JK, have made "significant progress" in talks with the Welsh winger. Fulham picked up a club option on Wilson last month, keeping him under contract until June of next year. Wilson told BBC Sport, "The option was just in case a deal doesn't get done. My main option would be to sign a new deal at Fulham and hopefully we can get to an agreement on that."

Fulham can also bolster its front line by bringing back Arsenal winger, Reiss Nelson. The 24-year-old came to the club last season on loan from the Gunners, but went down with a season-ending hamstring injury in December. He scored two goals in 12 appearances for the club. It is reported that Fulham would like to work out another loan deal, while Arsenal is looking for something more permanent this time.
