Premier League Chelsea
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Cole Palmer will play no part in tomorrow’s Premier League fixture against Fulham, after the 23-year-old picked up an injury ahead of last week’s emphatic 5-1 victory over West Ham United.
Palmer, who was named in the starting XI at the London Stadium, was forced to withdraw during the warm-up and watched from the side-lines as the Blues dismantled the Hammers.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference at Cobham, Maresca also revealed that Benoît Badiashile and Romeo Lavia remain unavailable.
“Cole is out,” Maresca told reporters. “Also, Benoît is out and Romeo is out. The rest are all okay. “Cole we need to see day by day, while the other two probably won’t return until after the international break.”
With Palmer sidelined, Chelsea will once again look to reshuffle their attacking options as they aim to maintain momentum in the league.
