Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford is on the verge of rejoining Manchester City, his boyhood club, according to The Athletic. The 22-year-old is expected to sign a 5-year contract, with an optional additional year.

From Burnley Hero to Etihad Comeback
Trafford played a pivotal role in Burnley’s impressive defensive record, helping the Clarets earn promotion to the Premier League. Across all competitions, the young shot-stopper contributed to 29 clean sheets and helped limit goals conceded to just 16 in the Championship-winning season. Despite being a City Academy graduate, Trafford never made a senior appearance for the club before being loaned to Bolton Wanderers and then sold to Burnley in a permanent move.
