Mohamed Salah narrowly missed out on a place in the top three at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony, finishing fourth after a remarkable individual season. The Liverpool forward produced an outstanding 57 goal contributions across all competitions last year, playing a decisive role in guiding the Reds to the Premier League title. Liverpool were quick to show their appreciation for Salah after the results were revealed. Posting across their official social media channels, the club shared a message that read: “A season to savour from Salah,” alongside a red heart emoji. The post was accompanied by a series of images highlighting his achievements from the 2024/25 campaign.

Dembele claims top prize ahead of Salah
Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele was crowned Ballon d’Or winner after helping the French side secure a historic treble of Ligue 1, Coupe de France and the Champions League. Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal claimed second place following a domestic clean sweep in Spain, while PSG midfielder Vitinha rounded off the top three. Despite Salah’s impressive numbers, the Egyptian had to settle for fourth place in world football’s most prestigious individual award.
