Atlético Madrid have hijacked Wolves' deal with Marc Pubill with the right-back now on his way to the Metropolitano Stadium, signing a five-year deal.

Atléti closed the deal this afternoon after fast negotiations with Almería, all the documents are signed.

Fabrizio Romano reported this evening that Madrid moved swiftly this afternoon and have an agreement with both Pubill and Almeria, with all documents signed. Pubill's deal with Wolves looked all but done with the 22-year-old ready to test himself in the Premier League, but now he has set his sights on joining the Spanish giants.
Wolves will now have to look at other targets to fill the right-back spot, with a focus on young talent as it has been for the majority of this window. Pereira will want to move quickly in order for their next target to get a full pre-season under their belt and learn his wing-back system.
