Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush has been ruled out of their game against Manchester United on Sunday after suffering a knee injury while on international duty.
The Egyptian was substituted just 10 minutes in to their game against Burkina Faso after he collided with an opposition and went down holding his knee.
Initial rumours suggested that Marmoush had sustained a knee ligament bruise, but further tests on Wednesday revealed that the striker wouldn't be available for this weekend's game.

The forward will now return to Manchester for more assessment and to begin his rehabilitation.
Man City's statement on the injury
In a statement, City confirmed that he would take no part in the Manchester Derby and that they will only know the full extent of the injury once he has undergone further scans once he returns to Manchester.
Marmoush did play in Egypt's other World Cup qualifier and he scored the second in a 2-0 win over Ethiopia. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah was the other goalscorer.
But in the second game after he came off with his injury, Egypt drew 0-0. The forward will be returning to Manchester imminently and so City will be hoping that the rumours of a bad bruise is correct rather than any longer term damage to the knee.
How this could affect City going forward
Omar Marmoush is yet to get off the mark in the league this season, but since his arrival only Erling Haaland has more Premier League goals for City than the Egyptian.
Since joining in January, the former Frankfurt man has scored seven league goals including a hat trick against Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium.
With Savinho, Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki also all either injured or struggling for fitness, Pep will be needing Jeremy Doku and Oscar Bobb to step up in terms of scoring goals or providing assists for others.
Marmoush's injury record
Throughout his career he has been fortunate with injuries and has only missed 11 games in total due to injury or illness.
Since February 2022 the number of games missed is only four and so he isn't usually the type to pick up injuries and if he does they normally only keep him out for a week or two.
Pep Guardiola and the whole City fanbase will be hoping that the United game is the only one he misses as he is a very important part of the squad as he can play numerous roles and excluding Haaland, is the second most reliable goalscorer at the club.
