As another Match-day has come to an end, it is time to take a look at some of the players who are currently out on loan from Chelsea and see how they performed. This will also include injury updates alongside performance reviews.
Mamadou Sarr
The 20 year old French born centre back is a player that i didn't touch on in my first out on loan edition however he deserves a mention this week because of his performance in a 1-0 win against Le Havre. Sarr is currently out on loan playing for FC Strasbourg, the same club that Kendry Paez and Mike penders play for. Sarr also featured for Strasbourg last season where the centre back made 28 appearances in all competitions. At such a young age he has made himself a regular starter and a very important part of the Strasbourg back line.
Alot of Chelsea fan's, myself included are very excited for him to join the Chelsea squad in the near future because of how composed and at home he looks playing in a top 5 league. With fans comparing him to Saliba, the future looks bright for Mamadou Sarr. In the game over the weekend he got himself a 7.7 rating and helped the team to a clean sheet. He looked composed on the ball, made some important challenges and his passing looked excellent which would translate well to a system like Maresca's.

Aaron Anselmino
Another young centre back Aaron Anselmino who featured in the first edition of out on loan for his excellent performance in his Bundesliga debut against Union Berlin was actually out injured and did not feature this past weekend for Borussia Dortmund. The centre back's lack of match fitness was always a concern for Dortmund manager Niko Kovak. In his debut he was suffering from cramps which could be apart of the reason why he is currently unfit. The injury scare is only minor though and he is expected to return to the Dortmund squad this week for a massive game against Juventus in the Champions League.
🟡⚫️ Aaron Anselmino & Julian Brandt are expected back in the squad for the clash vs Juventus.

If named in the squad it will be a huge game for the youngster who hopefully will make his Champions League debut. I am very excited to see what he can do on the worlds biggest stage considering the already large praise the defender has been receiving.
Round up
It was not the busiest of weekends for the Chelsea youngsters out on loan however as mentioned previously young centre back Mamadou Sarr did stand out for his performance against Le Havre. His teammates Mike penders and Kendry Paez who are also out on loan from Chelsea at the moment, featured alongside him for Fc Stasbourg over the weekend. Paez came off the bench and produced an ok performance while Penders impressed once again keeping yet another clean sheet. We’ll be back next week to track more Chelsea loanees as they continue their journeys.
