Ryan Reynolds helps model the new Wrexham away kit for the upcoming season.

Wrexham AFC unveiled their brand new 2025-26 away kit today, ahead of their historic Championship campaign. The bold yellow and green design, inspired by the daffodil, Wales’ national flower, pays homage to the club’s Welsh roots.

History behind the colours

Wrexham's 2025-26 away kit revives the club’s iconic yellow and green colors, a combination absent from their away strip since the 1997-98 season. The new design, crafted by Macron, features a vibrant yellow base with green pinstripes running vertically down the front and shoulders, paired with a green collar accented by a single yellow line.

This marks a deliberate nod to Wrexham’s heritage, with the club noting it’s “the first time we will have worn yellow-and-green shirts since the 1990s.” The kit’s inspiration, rooted in the daffodil, Wales’ national emblem, underscores Wrexham’s deep connection to its Welsh identity.

The return of this color scheme after 28 years resonates with fans, with X posts calling it “a classic reborn” and “pure Wrexham pride”.

When will it be worn?

Wrexham will debut the new kit tomorrow during their Australia and New Zealand pre-season tour when they face Sydney FC.

The squad will then travel to New Zealand to play versus Wellington Phoenix, before travelling home and preparing for the new Championship which starts on August 9th against Southampton.
