On Monday, Fulham announced the signing of club captain Tom Cairney to a new one-year deal. There had been reports that both West Ham and Wrexham were pursuing a deal with the former Scotland national team member.
Club Captain Returns for 11th Season
The 34-year-old midfielder first signed with Fulham ten years ago, in June 2015. Cairney has made 354 appearances with the club, far and away the most of any player on the current roster. He scored two goals in 25 Premier League appearances last season.
