Manchester United are still hoping to conclude a deal for Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Reports say the club are hopeful to have him on the club's pre-season tour of the United States, which commences next week.
Bids Rejected
As per Manchester Evening News, Man United have had two offers rejected by Brentford, the second for more than £60million. Club sources have insisted they will only negotiate for a sensible price.
Ruben Amorim's side were confident they were close to securing the signing of the Cameroon international. However, Brentford's appointment of Keith Andrews reportedly cause a delay. One factor pointing in Manchester United's favour is the fact Mbeumo changed agents last year, in the hope of sealing a move away from the club. With one year left on his deal, Brentford holding the option of an additional year, this seems a very feasible deal.
Hutchinson Impact
Brentford have had a £35m bid for Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson rejected. Hutchinson, a left-footed winger who favours cutting in from the right-hand side, is seen as the ideal Bryan Mbeumo replacement.

The fact that Brentford are actively bidding for potential replacements, suggests we are nearing the end of the Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United saga.
It is yet to be seen if Keith Andrews' side will return with an improved offer for the England U21 international. However, one thing is clear, we are nearing the end game of one of the longest transfer saga's of the window so far.
