Challenges in pre-season

Since pre-season started, the only player that has been signed is Matheus Cunha for 62.5 million pounds from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Matheus Cunha had 21 g/c last season with 15 goals and 6 assists, playing as a central attacking midfielder under Victor Pereira. Matheus Cunha will be given the number 10 shirt ahead of Marcus Rashford. Marcus Rashford's future at the club looks bleak after reports of him wanting to leave to move to Barcelona. Manchester United are keen to sell Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho after both players stated they wanted to leave.

Manchester United’s Mbeumo’s Transfer Mess

Manchester United have had a multiple bid rejected by Brentford for Cameron Forward Bryan Mbeumo, with the Latest bid coming in at £62.5 million pounds. Mbeumo last season had 27 g/c, 20 goals and 7 assists. The player opted to join Manchester United over Tottenham, who were also linked to the Winger.

The gap between Manchester United and Brentford’s evaluation of Bryan Mbeumo is still considerable. There have been no developments over the past few weeks and the sides are several million pounds away from agreeing a fee.

According to David Ornstein, “Manchester United are searching for a head of senior recruitment, a new role overseeing senior scouts, as part of their overhaul of that department”.

The reaction to the news has infuriated fans because the club has finished in fifteenth position in the premier league, losing 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa league final in May.

"If you look at the numbers, the numbers were fairly scary, really," Ratcliffe told The Times. "Because they'd sort of lost control, I think, of where the ship was headed. And the costs had got out of control.”

With Manchester United reportedly interested in a striker. The club has recently been linked with veteran strikers Dominic Calvert Lewin, Callum Wilson and Jamie Vardy. Reports from France also show the club have been linked with Nicholas Jackson from Chelsea.

In your opinion, how can current ownership solve these ongoing issues?
