Wrexham AFC have made a major statement of intent by announcing the signing of Wales international striker Kieffer Moore, in what is being hailed as one of the club’s most ambitious transfers since the Hollywood-led takeover by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
The 6’5” target man joins the club from Sheffield United on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee, penning a two-year contract that runs through the end of the 2026–27 season. Moore brings with him a wealth of Championship and Premier League experience, as well as 49 caps and 14 goals for the Welsh national team.

A Proven Goalscorer
Moore, 32, is widely regarded for his aerial prowess, hold-up play, and knack for scoring in crucial moments. He played pivotal roles at Barnsley, Cardiff City, and Bournemouth, and notably scored for Wales during the 2020 European Championship and 2022 World Cup qualifying campaigns.
His arrival adds firepower to a Wrexham side that continues to rise through the ranks of English football following three consecutive promotions under manager Phil Parkinson. With the club now competing in Championship, Moore’s presence could prove vital as Wrexham eye a push for the Premier League.
In a club statement, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson welcomed the addition: "We’re delighted to welcome Kieffer to the Club. He’s a player with a lot of Championship and international experience and we’re looking forward to working with him."
Moore himself expressed his excitement at joining the club: “I’m over the moon to join the Club and I can’t wait to get started.
“I want to be that experienced leader and bring a lot to the team. My work ethic is one of my strongest assets and I want to be someone that can help drive the team forward.”
