The midfielder has agreed a deal that will keep him at Villa until 2030.
It was reported that Kamara was waiting to see whether Villa would be playing in the Champions League again this season before making a decision on his future. Despite missing out on qualification on the final day last season, in a 1-o defeat to Manchester United, Kamara has now finalised a new deal and put speculation of him leaving Villa to bed. Clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe were said to be interested in the defensive-midfielder.
The Glue to Aston Villa's Midfield
Since moving to the club, Kamara has racked up 97 appearances in three seasons, forming excellent partnerships with former Villa player Douglas Luiz and now Youri Tielemans. Kamara's composure in high-pressure situations and his ability to read danger makes him one of the best defensive-midfielders in the Premier League. His greatest strength is to receive the ball, when playing out the back, whilst under pressure from opposition players, enabling his team to get up the pitch in transition.

Whilst being a crucial player for Aston Villa, Kamara has yet to play a full season due to suffering a number of injuries. At the start of his first season he suffered a knee injury that kept him out for 6 weeks. Then in February of last year Kamara ruptured his ACL which sidelined him for 8 months. If Kamara can stay fit for a full campaign, then he would provide a huge impact for Villa's upcoming season as they look to return to the Champions League.
