“I knew he was going to be here,” Palmer said post-match. “But I didn’t know he was going to be on the stand when we lifted the trophy. I was a bit confused, yes.”
Captain Reece James, who received the trophy from Trump, added:
“They told me he would present it and then leave. I thought he was going to exit the stage, but he wanted to stay.”
Trump’s presence quickly went viral online, but the moment didn’t take away from a memorable night for Chelsea fans — and particularly for Palmer.

Manager Enzo Maresca’s game plan proved decisive. Chelsea pressed aggressively in the first ten minutes, forcing PSG errors and controlling the midfield.
