Leeds United reach agreement to sign Harry Wilson as a free agent. The 29-year-old is set sign a long-term contract with the club and receive a pay rise, with his medical to be completed in due a course, as per David Ornstein.
A switch to West Yorkshire came close to materialising on the final day of last summer's transfer window before ultimately collapsing. However, after enjoying the most productive campaign of his career, Wilson is now set to become a free agent on July 1.

Following a series of successful loan spells during the early years of his career, Wilson eventually found a permanent home at Fulham. Since joining the Cottagers from Liverpool in the summer of 2021, he has made 187 appearances, scoring 36 goals and registering 46 assists.
The winger has also become a key figure for Wales, earning 69 international caps while contributing 17 goals and 12 assists for his country.
Primarily a right winger, Wilson is also comfortable operating on the left flank or in an attacking midfield role. His profile appears to fit exactly what Leeds are searching for in the final third: a left-footed creator capable of drifting inside from the right and providing both goals and creativity.
His injury record is relatively encouraging. Across his professional career, Wilson has generally remained available, averaging around five to six missed matches per season. That figure is slightly inflated by two campaigns in which he suffered more significant setbacks.
Liverpool academy graduate
Wilson came through Liverpool's academy system, producing an impressive 49 goal contributions in 66 appearances for the club's Under-23 side.
His first taste of senior football arrived during the second half of the 2017/18 season when he joined Hull City on loan in the Championship. Despite only arriving in January, Wilson made an immediate impact, recording 11 goal contributions in just 14 appearances while featuring on both wings.
The following season brought another Championship loan, this time with Derby County under Frank Lampard. It proved to be a breakthrough campaign, with Wilson registering 24 goal contributions in 49 appearances while operating across the attacking midfield and wing positions.
Leeds supporters may remember Wilson's role in Derby's dramatic Championship play-off semi-final victory in 2019. The Welshman scored and assisted in the second leg at Elland Road as Derby overturned a first-leg deficit before eventually losing to Aston Villa in the final.
Wilson's next loan move took him to Bournemouth for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign. He featured 35 times and recorded nine goal contributions while gaining valuable top-flight experience.
A return to the Championship followed in 2020/21, with Cardiff City. Wilson once again showcased his quality, contributing 18 goals and assists across 38 appearances in another highly productive season.

Fulham success
The summer of 2021 finally brought Wilson's first permanent transfer, as Fulham secured his signature in a deal worth around €14 million.
He immediately played a pivotal role in Fulham's promotion-winning Championship campaign, establishing himself as one of the division's standout attacking players. Following promotion, Wilson became a reliable Premier League performer, averaging around 34 appearances, five goals and six assists per season across the next four years.
Last season was unquestionably his finest in a Fulham shirt. Wilson made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists. Only seven players across the Premier League recorded more goal involvements, underlining the impact he had on Marco Silva's side.
His performances were recognised with Fulham's Player of the Season award, although the club narrowly missed out on European qualification by just two points.
With 156 Premier League appearances to his name, Wilson would bring a wealth of top-flight experience to Leeds. At 29 years old and coming off the best season of his career, the Welshman appears to be entering his prime years.
Leeds have tracked Wilson for a long time and may finally be in a position to secure his signature. The presence of several Wales teammates already at Elland Road could also prove a significant advantage as Daniel Farke looks to add proven Premier League quality to his squad ahead of the new season.
