The Current Situation
Daniel Farke is under mounting pressure at Leeds United after Sunday’s defeat made it five losses in six. The Whites now turn their attention to a daunting trip to Manchester this weekend, where securing a positive result will be a significant challenge. Manchester City may be on a two-game losing streak, but Leeds’ recent form means the task ahead remains as tough as ever.

Press Conference Insights
Ahead of the trip to the Etihad, Daniel Farke has delivered his team news and it’s far from ideal. The Leeds boss is facing a midfield injury crisis, confirming that Anton Stach will miss out due to concussion protocol, while Sean Longstaff is sidelined with a calf injury, expected to keep him out for four to six weeks.
Farke also revealed that Sebastiaan Bornauw is a doubt as he continues to struggle with an MCL issue. Aside from those concerns, the rest of the squad is available for selection.

Interestingly, Daniel Farke believes Leeds have actually been the better side in six of the matches they failed to win this season, referencing the games against Newcastle, Fulham, Bournemouth, Tottenham, Burnley and Aston Villa.
Farke remains confident that Leeds can still achieve their target of finishing 17th or higher, though he admits there will be more difficult moments ahead.

Possible Line-up
Farke has an obvious replacement for Stach in Ao Tanaka, who has largely shared the same role in recent weeks.
Longstaff’s absence, however, presents a new challenge. Ilia Gruev could come in, though he is more of a deputy for deep-lying midfielder Ethan Ampadu.
