Heartbreaking news broke on Thursday as a attack on a Manchester based Synagogue left two killed and three critically injured.
It has been confirmed by Manchester United officials that a one minute silence will be held at Old Trafford in the match against Sunderland this weekend due to the devastating attack in northern Manchester.
Manchester United's official channels came out with the statement following the attack:
"The club's thoughts are with the Jewish community in Manchester following an incident that led to two people losing their lives and three others remaining in hospital with injuries.
In a mark of respect, our men’s, women’s, Under-21s and Under-18s teams will all wear black armbands throughout this weekend’s respective matches.
A minute’s silence will also be held at the Progress of Unity Stadium ahead of United Women v Chelsea on Friday night, as well as at Old Trafford on Saturday before the Reds’ Premier League game against Sunderland."
The thoughts of everyone at Manchester United are with the victims of today’s tragic events in north Manchester and we offer our support to all those affected.#ACityUnited

"Crazy world that we are living in at the moment. A lot of these things are happening."
Of course, our sympathy for the victims. And we will pay tribute tomorrow. It’s a crazy world in this moment."
