This is what title races are made of. We travelled to the London Stadium knowing anything less than three points would hand momentum back to the chasing pack, and while it was far from a perfect performance, we showed the mentality of champions to grind out a huge 1-0 victory over West Ham.
It was tense, chaotic, emotional — and absolutely massive. From the opening whistle, we controlled possession and looked the more dangerous side, but West Ham made life incredibly difficult. Chances came and went, the woodwork was rattled twice, and frustration slowly started creeping into the game as the hosts defended with everything they had.

Then came the breakthrough we were all desperate for. With just seven minutes left, Martin Ødegaard — who instantly changed the tempo after coming on — slipped a brilliant pass into Leandro Trossard, and the Belgian produced a calm finish that sent the away fans into absolute bedlam. After weeks of criticism and questions about consistency, Trossard delivered when we needed him most.

But of course, supporting Arsenal means nothing is ever straightforward. Deep into stoppage time, West Ham thought they had snatched an equaliser after a messy corner led to Callum Wilson bundling the ball into the net. For a few horrible seconds, it felt like two points had slipped away. The stadium erupted, Arsenal heads dropped, and every Gooner watching probably stopped breathing.
Then VAR stepped in. After a long review, the goal was ruled out for a foul on David Raya in the build-up, and suddenly it was Arsenal celebrating all over again. West Ham fans were furious, but from an Arsenal perspective, it was the correct decision. Raya was clearly impeded, and credit has to go to the officials for having the courage to make the call under enormous pressure.
Speaking of Raya, he deserves huge praise once again. The Spaniard made a massive save in the second half to deny West Ham during one of their best moments and continues to prove why Arteta trusted him as the club’s number one.

This was not vintage Arsenal football. Injuries disrupted the rhythm, Ben White going off forced another reshuffle, and there were moments where the midfield lost control. But at this stage of the season, it is not about perfection — it is about finding a way. And we found a way.
The mentality in this squad has completely changed under Mikel Arteta. A few years ago, this is exactly the kind of game we would have drawn. Now the team fights, survives pressure, and gets the job done even when performances are not at their best. Most importantly, we remain firmly in control of the title race with just two games left.
One step closer.
One huge statement.
And one massive reminder that this team refuses to give up the dream.
