Transfer Breakdown
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Leeds United are close to signing AC Milan forward Noah Okafor. Leeds have submitted a proposal worth over €20m, with a contract until June 2029 and an option to extend for a further year. The final decision lies with Okafor himself, as manager Daniel Farke continues to push for the deal to be completed.

From Basel To Milan
Okafor started his career at FC Basel, making his senior debut as a teenager. He went on to feature 54 times for the Swiss side, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. In January 2020 he joined RB Salzburg in a €11.2 million move, where he became a constant threat with 34 goals and 23 assists in 110 appearances - including 24 games in European competitions. His performances earned him a €15.5m transfer to AC Milan in July 2023, and after over 50 appearances for the club, he spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Napoli.

What He Offers Leeds
Okafor is a quick and versatile forward. While he is capable of playing anywhere across the front line, his main position is on the left wing, cutting inside onto his stronger right foot. His pace, direct dribbling, and pressing intensity make him an ideal fit for Daniel Farke’s high-energy system. Having featured in both the Champions League and Serie A, Okafor also brings valuable top-level experience that could prove crucial during his time at Elland Road.

Injury Concerns
Okafor’s talent comes with a note of caution: injuries have disrupted his career significantly. Over the years, he has consistently missed matches due to various injury problems, including 88 days and 13 games last season and a staggering 124 days in 22/23. On average he has missed around a dozen games per season, meaning Leeds will have to manage his fitness carefully to maximise his impact at the club.

Looking Ahead
If the deal goes through, Noah Okafor will bring undeniable talent to Leeds United. Daniel Farke will hope the Swiss forward can stay fit and adapt quicklyto the demands of English football. Okafor could play a crucial role in Leeds’ push for survival this season, offering pace, versatility, and valuable experience at the top level - giving fans plenty to look forward to at Elland Road.
