Nottingham Forest are on the verge of signing Bologna winger Dan Ndoye for €40 million (£35 million) plus €5 million add-ons, in what will be a new club-record fee. The Swiss international is completing his medical today ahead of signing a five-year contract at the City Ground. Forest have been targeting a winger to replace Anthony Elanga following his move to Newcastle earlier in the window.

Ndoye had interest from Napoli, but he was attracted to the prospect of playing in the Premier League so opted for a move to Forest. This will be their third signing of the summer following Botafogo duo Jair Cunha (centre-back) and Igor Jesus (striker) also moving to the club.
Who is Dan Ndoye?
Ndoye is a 24-year-old winger capable of playing on both flanks. He moved to Bologna in 2023 from FC Basel for €10 million after spells at Nice and Lausanne, where he began his career. Last season he made 41 appearances in all competitions for Bologna, scoring 9 goals and registering 6 assists. Bologna lifted the Coppa Italia and qualified for the Europa League.
Ndoye's experience of playing in a top European league along with racking over 250 senior appearances, will put him in a good position to replicate Elanga's form last season. Creating chances for striker Chris Wood as well as linking up with Morgan Gibbs-White, who remarkably has signed a new contract at Forest, will be key if The Reds want to improve on their 7th place finish.
James McAtee Latest
It has been reported today that Forest have had a £25 million bid rejected for Manchester City midfielder James McAtee. The England U-21 captain has been attracting interest from other Premier League clubs as well as the Bundesliga. City are said to be holding out for a fee closer to the £42.5 million deal received for Cole Palmer when he moved to Chelsea.

McAtee, who came through City's academy, is into the final year of his contract. Pep Guardiola is potentially open to selling the 22-year-old which would provide pure profit for City's books. McAtee made 15 appearances for City in the league last season, the majority as a substitute, where he scored 3 goals.
Forest are looking to reinforce their attacking ranks this summer in order to compete well in both the Premier League and Europa League which requires quality squad depth. If they meet City's valuation for McAtee and get him through the door, he will no doubt provide Forest the quality that they need as well as the potential to develop into a talented player.
