Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Beraldo has reportedly handed in a transfer request following the French Champions' defeat to Chelsea in the Club World Cup. Following the aftermath of the final at the MetLife Stadium, reports have emerged that PSG defender Lucas Beraldo has submitted a transfer request, just 18 months after joining the Ligue 1 side from Sao Paulo. Although his next destination is unclear, the 21-year-old Brazilian is keen to leave the Parc des Princes in search of regular playing time to earn a spot in Brazil's 2026 World Cup squad.

Beraldo started in Sunday's final in the absence of Pacho but struggled particularly against attacking threats of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro. The transfer request came as a surprise to PSG, who had not anticipated such a move so soon after signing Beraldo.
